Transportation (Local & Out of Town)
There are many transportation services available to people who are unable to use the regular public transit system or who may have mobility issues. Most communities provide discounted transportation, wheel-chair accessible transportation, door-to-door service for non-emergency medical appointments, and volunteer drivers who will take people to and from medical appointments.
In some rural or remote communities, there are programs and services which enable people with arthritis to travel to see a specialist or other care provider, when they do not have the means to get there on their own.
If you plan to use one of the transportation services listed on this site, please be sure to call the provided telephone number in advance to learn more about rates, schedules and other important information you may need in order to access these services.
