Welcome
This website can help you in identifying the most relevant resources and where these resources are available.
Consumer resources can be useful for someone who is newly diagnosed with arthritis and who wants to know more about the management of their disease and its flare-ups or for people with arthritis who want to know how to effectively manage their arthritis over the long term.
Examples of a few resources that are included in this site are the locations of arthritis community support groups, exercise classes, how to find experienced arthritis health care providers, as well as resources that are available for managing symptoms or in dealing with financial issues.
This site offers a range of resources for arthritis health care providers. The public will be able to access most portions of the provider section. The provider Section includes recent news, upcoming educational events, reference and professional education resources, patient education materials, treatment protocols and clinical guidelines.
The motivation for this website came from the lack of centralized information about arthritis related resources within BC. With a grant from the BC Ministry of Health, the support of The Arthritis Society BC/ Yukon Division and information provided by the five health authorities in BC, it was possible to compile all the resources you can find here on this web page.
Providers and their patients may also be interested in research/ clinical trials which may provide some access to new medications www.arthritisresearch.ca/
We welcome your feedback. If you find the resources are useful/ if you see the information is no longer accurate/ missing/ if you have any suggestions on how to improve this site, please contact us at feedback@argbc.ca
